Works great
Another quality Wiland component! Excellent additon to a steel challenge 10/22 to allow for a fast consistent cheek wield without the need to adjust your head to obtain a immediate sight picture. Came already installed on my complete chassis I ordered but would be easily installed with simple hand tools. The adjustability of this piece is what really sets it apart, particularly for competiton use.
good fit
Fully adjustable for height and cheek weld offset.
I should have ordered this with my chassis. The pics I saw on-line with the chassis in use were 50-50 with/without. My "dot" is a C-MORE Railway 8MOA on a Kidd receiver. I had an issue "holding" the dot in RFRO Steel Challenge when mounting. Add the Comb (Todd calls it a Cheek Riser :)). Issue solved. The Railway is high off the bore axis, so Riser is essential...
This is a very nice complement to the buttstock. I specifically ordered the cheek riser for Steel Challenge. I like the ability to cant or angle the riser for my cheek weld. Nothing but quality from Wiland. Be sure to check out their Chassis systems and other fine offerings for your 10/22 and or PCC build. Todd Syssa and gang are top notch. WilandUSA produces nothing but the best in equipment.

With the adjustability of the "buffer tube", a cheek riser may not be needed by most/any shooter. I got it as one more level of adjustability, and to provide a solid index point against my cheekbone when bringing the gun up to get on target quickly and consistently.
The amount of flex in the material does not allow for such a precise, absolute index point. Having the cheek riser make contact with your cheekbone is certainly helpful, but a firmer material might be an improvement in this regard.
Gotta have one of these if you have a Wiland Chassis. Let's you get that perfect, faster sight alignment as soon as it hits your cheek. Would highly recommend.
